Mrs. Fetters has 20 years teaching experience in Baldwin County at Gulf Shores and Delta.  She has taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade with the majority of her years in Second Grade.  She is an excellent teacher and asset to Delta Elementary.  When asked about teaching, Mrs. Fetters said, "Teaching is not only my "job", but it's my passion!"  This is evident by the love and care she gives her students and many hours she spends preparing engaging lessons.  Mrs. Fetters has also taught Bible classes at church, been the Assistant Director of the YMCA Summer Program for four years, and Director of Delta's ASCC Program for five years.  Teaching runs in Mrs. Fetters' family.  Her husband Bob teaches second grade in the Saraland City School System and her son Chip is an education graduate student. Mrs. Fetters is also very proud of her other sons.  Chris is a firefighter in Baltimore, Maryland and a Chaplain's Assistant in the Air National Guard.  Chad is a missionary to foreign countries and Curt is a student at the University of Alabama - Roll Tide!  She is the very proud grandmother of 2 beautiful and talented granddaughters.  Mrs. Fetters commented that she is very blessed to work with such a supportive Delta family.  She is honored to have been chosen as teacher of the year but she says, "We're all in it together - it's teamwork that makes us successful!"
